The Plough Inn

The Plough Inn is situated in the tiny hamlet of Eaton and is a traditional Inn offering luxury accommodation as well as fine foods. The Plough is close to the towns of Congleton, Sandbach and Macclesfield and is only a short drive from the Staffordshire Moorlands where scenic walks can be found.

Other pleasant walks can be found on the nearby hill known as the Cloud which overlooks the Cheshire plains. Rudyard Lake can be found just over the border in Staffordshire where rowing boats can be hired out on this beautiful lake which is three miles in length.

The Plough has an extensive menu and yet still caters for popular dishes such as fish and chips and steak and chips which can be served in the Old Barn or in the bar area.

There are plenty of local attractions to visit such as Little Moreton Hall, Gawsworth Hall and also plenty of walks on nearby Alderley Edge. Aslo close to the Plough can be found the small vilage of Marton which boasts the oldest black and white half timbered church in Europe, and at one time Marton boasted the largest oak tree in the country which had a trunk 54 feet in diameter.
